The journal Psihoterapija was founded in 1971 at the Center for Mental Health of the University Hospital Centre Zagreb, Croatia. It was published continuously on a biannual basis until 1999. In 2016, three psychodynamic psychotherapy societies agreed to relaunch the journal, maintaining the same theoretical orientation and publishing model.
The journal Psihoterapija is indexed in EBSCO, Embase/Excerpta Medica, Hrčak, and Scopus. It is also available through numerous discovery & scholarly search platforms.
